Aurora was named managing company for one of the construction stages of Hypercube Skolkovo. Hypercube is the testing facility at the “Skolkovo” project where informational, economic, engineering, urban-planning, and organizational models are created for managing the innovation center. The construction of Hypercube was based on the principle of the 4 E’s: energy-efficiency, ecology, ergonomics, and economics. All the needs of the building should be provided for by the building itself: an autonomous heating system, water supplied from an artisanal well, a water filtration system that uses waste water for irrigation. Such an ambitious task demanded unconventional solutions: in part, the installation of solar panels on the roof, the placement of an underground electric substation, a power system that functions on the Smart Grid principles and is controlled from a single center. The 3R’s system for recycling waste was implemented, resulting in ZeroWaste, when all waste is completely recycled and nothing leaves the territory of the innovation center.
